We're so excited to announce the launch of our sister company, Textify Mobile, an easy-to-use and affordable text marketing and fundraising platform that gives churches, ministries and nonprofits the ability to communicate with supporters, recruit volunteers, accept donations, and sell products, all from a phone.

Nonprofits and churches are already seeing amazing fundraising results through Textify's text-to-give option, raising thousands of dollars and acquiring hundreds of new donors. Cross Point, a large church in Nashville and one of the nation’s fastest growing churches, recently introduced Textify Mobile to its congregation and acquired more than 700 first-time donors in one day. Another church raised nearly $10,000 in a day using Textify.

The idea for Textify was born from working with church and nonprofit clients who were seeking text marketing solutions but not finding a solution that met all of their needs. With a team of brilliant developers and mobile marketing experts in-house, we figured: why not build our own?

Textify was built using a unique lean startup model that gave TAG employees the opportunity to be a part of the launch team, working after hours in exchange for profit sharing. That model allowed us to quickly build and launch the product and challenged us to grow our skills, while reaping the rewards of starting a company, and most importantly, responding to the needs of churches and ministries. As we hear feedback from our clients and Textify customers, we can easily make changes and adapt the service based on what churches and ministries need and want.

Textify will also be integrated into TAG Tools, The A Group's proprietary content management system, making it easy to manage your website and communicate with supporters all in one place.

With mobile predicted to overtake desktop internet usage this year, using text messaging for fundraising and communication is no longer optional for churches and ministries:

  • 98 percent of text messages are opened (usually within minutes of being sent)
  • Every 24 hours, 6.4 billion text messages are sent
  • People look at their phones over 150 times on average per day
  • 70 percent of mobile searches lead to online action within an hour
  • 62 percent of 18 to 32-year-olds would donate through a mobile phone
